When the act of artistic creation is inherently open-ended, fluid, and unpredictable - how do you ‘guarantee’ success when working with clients as a creative business?
This is something that’s been on my heart a lot lately. Because in traditional business models they say to guarantee certain metrics and kpis, and be crystal clear about the precise outcomes and results that working with you creates.
I think it comes down to this for me: artistic creation for the sake of artistic creation, holds a certain openness, fluidity, trust in the divine and surrender that is more open-ended and exploratory than the act of creation for business.
When you’re creating results for brands as a business - the vital aspect to your success is the *container and boundaries* we’re choosing to create within.
There’s still this divine creative spirit that comes into play so beautifully when we are in this co-creative process together -
